There are currently 8 different rebuild kits covering all of the WA-1 carburetor numbers. There is no such thing as a ‘universal’ or ‘fits most’ kit. Save yourself time and money by ordering the correct kit the first time. We do not guarantee kit fit based on application alone, there are too many variables and we have no way of knowing that the carburetor is original. Keep in mind it’s possible more than one carburetor was used on any given year/application.
Most WA-1 carburetors have the model cast on the side like you see here circled in blue.
The carburetor will have many other markings like these circled in red. These are rasied numbers and are casting codes for the various components. These numbers do not cross to rebuild kits or parts.
The ID number you’re looking for is on a triangular brass tag like this one. It’ll be 3-4 digits with an ‘s’ stamped into it. IE 2114S.

When no tag is present. You can sometimes identify a WA-1 carburetor using the casting number, which is found on the throttle body. This is not definitive, but can help when trying to match a carburetor kit.
