The model 4350 four-barrel carburetor consists of three main assemblies:
Carburetor includes five basic fuel metering systems:
Other systems include the fuel inlet and electric assisted choke circuits.
NOTE: Some Motorcraft 4350 carbs were produced with altitude compensation devices. The purpose of altitude compensators is to lean out the fuel mixture when operating at high altitudes. To improve high altitude cold engine starts, bypass intake system included with compensation feature, is equipped with a choke plate linked to main choke system. The high altitude system cannot be adjusted. The only service possible is cleaning of poppet valve and stem in aneroid bellows housing with appropriate choke cleaner.
