The 22-series carburetor is of the single barrel downdraft type with double venturi and dual floats. The early models included a solid choke plate with friction spring mechanism. The current models include a semi-automatic choke with poppet valve located within the choke plate. The fuel system includes the fuel inlet fitting, fuel filter screen, fuel valve (needle and seat), dual floats with a double ended float lever and a float chamber. The idle system includes the throttle plate, priming plug, idle channels, compensating jet, idle jet and idle adjusting needle. The high speed (main metering system) includes the main jet, main jet adustment, fuel channels, well, cap jet base, cap jet calibration, cap jet tip, primary and secondary venturi and throttle plate.
