This manual was produced when the DLTX carbs were still in production, and was intended for use by a mechanic. Many of these parts are no longer available.

Any tool referenced in the producedures below are no longer available on the general market and will need to be procured somewhere like eBay, or alternative tools used.

WARNING: We do not recommend removing the throttle and choke shaft unless absolutely necessary. Rebushing a throttle shaft should be done by an experienced rebuilder.

Remove bowl retaining nut, gasket, and nozzle retaining spring. Separate castings.

Remove fuel strainer assembly and gasket

Type A

Replace assembly if screen or threads are not in good condition.

Remove float valve seat and gasket.

Remove float lever bearing screws and float lever pin.

Replace screws and pin if parts are worn

Remove float and lever assembly and float valve.

Replace float valve and seat if valve is grooved or worn or seat damaged.

Remove float valve, float seat, and gasket

Remove load adjusting needle.

Replace needle if grooved or damaged.

Remove throttle valve screws, valve, and throttle shaft and lever assembly.

NOTE: On some models it is necessary to first remove throttle lever from shaft before throttle valve can be removed. Replace throttle shaft if worn.

Remove choke valve screws and valve.

Do not remove choke shaft.

Remove nozzle

Insert flat end of Schebler Tool No. 2599 (no longer available) under choke shaft and force nozzle down as far as possible.
