With the thermostat housing and baffle plate removed, and the throttle adjusting screw backed out, crack the throttle valve and close the choke valve. Then close the throttle valve. This will allow the fast idle cam to fall into proper position. There should be a clearance between the throttle valve and carburetor bore as specificed in the spec table.
